I discovered that I could draw at the age of five. And for sixty plus years have continued to draw. The works on paper usually are fictional beasts or fictional landscapes. The originals usually end up in gallery shows. Drawing mostly in colour pencils or ink, or both, I work on Arches watercolour paper. I am not being didactic in my work, there’s no narrative thread, I don’t have a message that can be verbalised.
I had my first one person show in 1985 at RMIHE (which later became Charles Sturt University). Since then I’ve shown in Wagga galleries, Canberra galleries and for a brief period in North Sydney. I have been having exhibitions or participating in group shows every three to four years since the mid-80’s.
